Definitely a pretty good remaster of a sadly-overlooked game from 2003. Swyter-- the sole person responsible for developing this remaster at the time of writing, as far as I know, which is impressive-- often updates the game and regularly interacts with the community, and it has mod support courtesy of the tools used to make the original game (that's the free Authoring Tools DLC)!Give this a shot if you like games similar to Zelda, enjoy some brain-teasing puzzles, and/or want to mess around with things. And be sure to spread the word if you like it-- it shouldn't be ignored a second time. I do recommend a controller, though; there's no keyboard remapping right now.. A game from an era in my life that took place many eons ago. My childhood. Nostalgia goggles aside, this game is better than I remember it. 8/10. I have loved this game since I was a child and I figured i'd give the HD version a shot since i'm honestly happy to see any news about this game. The HD one has quite a few errors that are rather annoying; certain sounds don't work like footsteps, falling.etc, The controls feel like they've been kicked into overdrive and are clunky, there are issues with items popping up and rendering which get very annoying, and when you go into a sarcophagus the left eye vanishes and that's just from what I've played so far. The game still looks beautiful but I wish this had been a little more reviesed before it was put back out; I still like the game but at the end of the day I might just play it on my ps2 until the errors are fixed.. Never thought I'd see this game again, though I had long hoped.It's really great and of the "buddy game" variety of yore; like Jak & Daxter meets Zelda, only the Mummy and Sphinx aren't playable at the same time. Lots of good puzzles, humor, setting, music, etc.I do wish they'd opted for voice acting, though and I hope the devs improve some aspects of the game like hit detection on ziplines or the camera. The game also uses a save-point system that was antiquated even back in '03. I also wish that for the Sphinx parts of the game, they had just ripped off Ocarina of Time's lock-on system as combat is kind of unwieldy.I also see they released a modkit for the game via proprietary Eurocom software, so I can't wait to see what new stuff the community will create for the game — I think this may be the first, or at least one of the very few, console games that has had official mod tools released for it when they could've easily gone the DLC route.Recommended.. Thundercats are go!. Great port of a great game.. criminaly overlooked.
